Sonnet 10/21

by Echo

Sadness had overtaken HIM, causing HIS tears to shed down
They cleansed everything on their way to the ground;
The plants, the trees, even the secrets behind your frown
That is when I was found
Dancing around like I had lost my mind;
Oblivious to the world and engulfed by the rain
That is when you crossed the line
I pulled you into my world and nothing seemed plain
As the droplets washed away all your worries and fears
Your true self was exposed
The one I’d been expecting for years
Then the last drops said their farewells as our performance drew to a close
Our world faded away as the real world came calling
Now you’ll be awaiting the return of the day when the teardrops come falling
