should i ask out my friend?

by no one

I suffer from severe OCD and my friend knows it. I got really bad about it when i was a freshman and I started to repeat words and i became a complete germaphobe. Anyway my friend told my parents. Apparently it runs in my family. So i got help and my friend whose a girl was so supportive, she helped me with my phobias and got me out of my house more, I really like her and she really likes me but im worried that if i go out with her i'll lose a good friend. I'm worried if we have a bad time we won't be friends anymore.

Answer:

It's true that when you enter into a romantic relationship with a friend, things will probably never back to the way they were.

But, do you really think you can go on being friends with someone you're attracted to, who is also attracted to you, and expect the relationship not to change?

Just do what feels right. Don't rush into anything, or force the relationship in any particular direction just because you think that's what people do. Just let the relationship progress naturally.
