If a girl tells you she loves you like a brother, is this code for anything?
by Cullen
My best friend told me that she loves me like a brother, and I told her I love her like a sister. The two of us are casual about hugging, linking arms, holding hands and seeing each other without a group, and even our parents don't believe us when we say we are just friends. We went to see a movie together, and she brought a friend of hers (not the next friend mentioned) and she sat in the middle with me to her left, and the entire time she had her legs leaning towards me. At the start they were straighter, but as the movie went on they got closer and closer to me.
Now another friend of mine, who is also her best friend, is telling me that the two of us would make a good couple and I should ask her out.
Supposing maybe I did like her more than a friend.. what do you suggest? I don't want to ruin a good friendship, but I am getting lonely. If a girl tells you that you make her wish she had a brother.. does this mean anything more or is it as simple as what she said?
Answer:
If a girl says she loves you like a brother, she could be saying one of two things.
1. She might mean that she likes you, but could never be with you romantically. Like siblings.
2. Or, she may have just wanted to tell you that she loves you, and did so in a way that wouldn't jeopardize your friendship.
If she doesn't have any crushes on any other guys, and the two of you get along really well, i'm inclined to think it's the ladder.
Just keep flirting with each other, and see where it goes. If she moves her legs closer to you, move your legs closer to hers. You'll figure out the best type of relationship for the two of you eventually.
