husband uninterested in sex

Hi. I'm 26, my husband is 30. We got married 3 years back. Now, he doesn't kiss me with intimacy, only makes love once or twice a month usually for only 5 minutes without any passion. But, he masturbates very frequently. Once in every 3 days and some times twice a day!

I had requested him several times not to do that instead of making love. He doesn't care. I'm very very depressed. I've lost interest in him since this is happening for more than a year. What to do? Please help me...

From what you've said, your husband is acting unacceptably. You're right to be upset. You've asked him to show you more affection, yet he has not changed. A good husband should at least make an effort to make his wife happy. Your husband's unwillingness to even make an effort is troubling, and shows that there is a problem that runs deeper than mere sexual incompatibility.

I'm aware that divorce is looked upon differently in India than in the US, but if your husband refuses to put any effort into the relationship, you should at least begin to consider it. You can't live the rest of your life depressed, with an unloving husband.

Right now, you should take comfort with your friends and relatives. Get advice from people close to you that you trust and love.

Make sure your husband knows that you need more from him. Make sure he knows how upset you are. Hopefully he will change. But, if he doesn't, I wouldn't stay with him indefinitely.
