A Broken Being

My heart is broken
everything around me seems to be falling apart
How can I keep back the tears,
A bad omen follows me like a foreshadowing disaster
How can I escape this pain I cannot express
It burns and breaks down my inner being
My heart looks for solace but everywhere there is chaos.
This heart has been broken time and time again.
Now it beats slowly and faintly like that of the ticking of a clock..
with each faint tick it breaks and begins to fall apart.
It cannot take anymore...
It must be at peace.
